Ask a Friend to Drive You
We encourage you to leave your car at home and to have somebody drive you to and from the Hospital. Drivers can use designated areas located at building entrances to quickly drop off or pick up patients. These areas are clearly marked on the Albany Medical Center parking map and at all building entrances.
If someone can not drive you, don't worry, you will find parking on our campus.
Inpatient Parking
Free parking for inpatients is provided in the Albany Medical Center parking garage on the day of admission and day of discharge.
Outpatient Parking
Parking for outpatients is provided in the Albany Medical Center parking garage and the Blue lot (adjacent to the Physicians Pavilion (A-Building). Outpatients will receive a validation sticker at the reception area of their respective clinic. Present the validation sticker to the parking attendant upon departure to receive free parking. Free Valet parking is also available for outpatients at two locations - The Physicians Pavilion (A-Building) and the entrance to the Emergency Department (D-Building).
Visitor Parking
Parking rates are posted at the entrances to self-serve lots.

We encourage visitors to use Albany Med's multi-level parking garage off New Scotland Avenue. This parking garage offers direct access to the hospital's main entrance via an enclosed, elevated walkway. Outpatients will receive a validation sticker at the reception area of their respective clinic. Present the validation sticker to the parking attendant upon departure to receive free parking.
Physicians Pavilion Parking (Blue lot)

Saturday & Sunday - Closed

Free Valet Parking
Physicians Pavillion Parking (Blue Lot)

Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday - Closed
Valet drop-off stops at 4:00 p.m. but Valet will continue to retrieve cars until 6:00 p.m.
Free validated or paid self-serve parking is also available in the Blue lot adjacent to the Physicians Pavilion.
Emergency Department and Same Day Surgery
Hours of Operation
Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Free Valet Parking for ER and Same Day Surgery patients
Free valet parking is available at the entrance to the Emergency Department (D-Building) off New Scotland Avenue.
